Transglobal Cargo Strengthens Strategic Partnership with Elicit Technology During Chennai Knowledge Exchange Visit

Transglobal Cargo recently completed a three-day strategic visit to Elicit Technology in Chennai, led by Sugie Govender (CEO) and Deepa Moodley (Executive Manager), marking an important milestone in our journey toward digital transformation, operational excellence, and AI-driven logistics modernisation.

This visit was more than a business engagement, it was a collaborative exchange of ideas, innovation, cultural connection, and shared purpose.

Day 1: Advancing Automation, Intelligence, and Operational Visibility in CargoWise

The first day centred on strengthening automation within CargoWise and exploring how Elicit Technology’s specialised capabilities can help Transglobal enhance accuracy, speed, and compliance across its operations. Discussions covered improvements to workflows for quotation management, purchase orders, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoice validation, with a strong emphasis on simplifying processes and reducing manual intervention.

The teams also explored how dispatch, fleet, and vehicle management could be digitally optimised to ensure smoother coordination, and how shipment management can be modernised through real-time intelligence and accessible data flows. Strengthening compliance, refining documentation controls, and enabling both management and customers to access information instantly formed an important part of the conversation.

A significant emphasis was placed on the role of AI, specifically how intelligent automation can improve planning, predict operational risks, standardise repetitive tasks, and support faster, data-driven decision-making. In addition, the Business Intelligence discussions highlighted how real-time dashboards and automated reporting can further elevate visibility and provide deeper operational insight.

Altogether, Day 1 opened the door to new IT developments designed to modernise internal processes, elevate the customer experience, and build a solid digital foundation for Transglobal Cargo’s long-term growth.

Day 2: Strengthening Transglobal’s Financial Management, Business Operations, and Brand Visibility

The second day shifted focus toward Transglobal Cargo’s broader business operations, emphasising opportunities to strengthen financial management, simplify internal workflows, and enhance customer-facing processes. The teams reviewed how financial controls, accountability structures, and operational reporting can be strengthened to support the company’s long-term scalability.

In parallel, discussions also centred on Transglobal’s core business services and how these offerings can be made more visible and more accessible through improved digital communication, brand positioning, and customer engagement strategies. A key part of the dialogue focused on how technology and intelligent design can help Transglobal communicate its expertise more effectively across Africa and international markets.

The session concluded with a shared commitment to refining processes, enhancing service delivery, and positioning Transglobal’s brand and capabilities more prominently in global logistics conversations.

Day 3: Experiencing Chennai, A City of Culture, Heritage, and Intellectual Brilliance

The final day offered a more personal touch. The Transglobal team explored Chennai’s cultural heritage and historical landmarks, gaining a deeper appreciation for the city’s rich legacy.

Chennai’s reputation as a rising intellectual capital became even more evident through Elicit Technology’s talented workforce, a blend of technical mastery, strategic thinking, and humility. The experience reinforced Chennai not just as an IT hub, but as a thriving centre of innovation and problem-solving brilliance.

A Collaboration Fueled by Innovation, Insight, and Partnership

Throughout the visit, the warmth, professionalism, and hospitality of the Elicit Technology team stood out. Their collaborative mindset, forward-thinking ideas, and commitment to excellence made every session impactful.

“Working with a highly talented team that remains grounded with humility is a rare find, and we found this with the Elicit team.” – Sugie Govender, Chief Executive Officer.

The insights shared, spanning technology, automation, digitisation, and AI-led logistics, have set strong foundations for the next phase of combined growth. Together, we have made remarkable strides toward building systems and capabilities that modernise operations and support Transglobal’s cost and service optimisation goals.

Looking Ahead: Building the Future of Logistics Intelligence, Together

This visit reaffirmed a shared vision: to create a logistics environment where digital tools empower people, where data becomes intelligence, and where AI drives smarter, safer, and faster operations.

Elicit Technology’s passion, precision, and innovation continue to inspire progress, and Transglobal Cargo looks forward to deeper collaborations in the months ahead.

Here’s to meaningful partnerships, transformative ideas, and a future where technology and logistics move forward together.
