On 29 August 2025, our Western Cape branch did something close to the heart. Together, we prepared and delivered special girls’ hampers to learners at Disa Primary School in Hout Bay.
These hampers were created for girls aged 10 to 13 – learners in Grades 6 and 7 – to support them as they enter a new and important stage of their lives.
For us at Transglobal Cargo, this was not just about handing out gifts. It was about showing care, sharing encouragement, and reminding young girls that they are valued.
A Small Gift with a Big Purpose
Every hamper was thoughtfully prepared with the needs of young girls in mind. While the items may seem simple to some, they are powerful tools of support for learners stepping into adolescence with confidence.
The purpose was not only to give, but also to empower. These hampers carried a message of strength: you are seen, you are supported, and you are capable of great things.
Why Focus on Young Girls?
At Transglobal, we often move sensitive and valuable cargo across borders. But here at home, we also feel responsible to carry something else – hope for the next generation.
Girls in this age group often face challenges that go unseen. Many step into young adulthood without enough resources, guidance, or encouragement. By creating these hampers, we wanted to help them start this phase with dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
We believe that when young girls are uplifted, entire communities grow stronger.
A Team Effort from the Heart
The Western Cape team came together with genuine care. From preparing the hampers to personally handing them to learners, every step was filled with purpose.
Smiles, laughter, and moments of gratitude filled the school hall as each girl received her pack. For our staff, it was more than a delivery — it was a reminder of why community matters.
This act showed us once again that kindness is not measured in size, but in intention.
Beyond Logistics, Towards Community
At Transglobal, we know that logistics is about more than moving cargo. It is about responsibility. Responsibility to clients, to partners, and also to the communities we are part of.
By standing with these young girls, we are choosing to move beyond business. We are choosing to carry a message of empowerment – that their futures matter.
Looking Ahead
This initiative in Hout Bay was just one step, but it reflected something bigger: our belief that real impact happens when we give our time, our effort, and our care.
We thank our Western Cape team for their dedication, the staff at Disa Primary for welcoming us, and most importantly, the learners who reminded us that every smile is worth the effort.
As we continue our work across South Africa and beyond, we carry with us the same spirit – that logistics can move goods, but compassion moves lives.
